This film is about a hidden drive within a man pushing him to do something, a something that we as the audience are not so clear of. I am a huge fan of films which wait to provide context to the end, helping us to reshape the things we have already seen.

I set this film at night so as to emphasise the character's fibre or "being". The darkness these men have inside them is told by their surroundings.

For me, this film was about building tension and suspense. I wanted to draw the audience in - to a slice of the character’s world. And even though it is a created world, it needed to be authentic and real, otherwise the film would have fallen flat. It was important to me to create a film with a high production value in order to realize the world of these men.

I drew on films such as "Collateral", "Drive", and "Se7en and while the vision was originally mine, the result is because of collaboration. My Producer, Jacob Frith, was a true asset and also my DOP, Quais Waseeq, who had a massive influence on the way the film was put together. We wanted to sell a totally real world and make people subconsciously think about how this film was put together and hopefully to give them a high-quality experience.
