Experiencing Interruptions?

PINK ELEPHANT (2017)

The film is about a Bosnian bourgeois family welcoming back the studying-abroad daughter and his new Italian boyfriend. After the initial enthusiasm, things start to change when the father notices a tattoo on her daughter's back. He abruptly changes his behavior towards the girl, seeming not able to look at her in the same way as before. We soon find out that the father is a porn addict, and he is convinced that tattoo is the same shown in a porn video he recently had seen.

Director Statement

This film speaks about nowadays Bosnia and the problems of a wealthy family. Being a Bosnian film director, I wanted to make a different type of film, that had nothing to do neither with war nor with all the other hot issues of my country. Even though coming from different backgrounds, family affairs affect all of us in the same way.
The film was entirely shot in Rome although the story takes place in Sarajevo; crew and actors were all professionial figures coming from Bosnia except for one Italian actor. It is my intention to speak about morality, relationships and taboos that live inside a family.
