Izabela Manolova is born in Varna, Bulgaria. Graduates "Frédéric Joliot-Curie" highschool with English and Spanish. Her bachelor's degree is WoodCarving at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria. During this degree, she wins an Erasmus scholarship and goes to Granada, Spain to study painting.
Her master's degree is Scenography for Cinema and TV. She is currently a PhD student in the Department of Art Studies, majoring in Photography, where she teaches undergraduate majors.
She works for two years at the Lovech Drama Theater in 2019-2021.
Since 2021, she is a part of the SCULPTURE department team at Nu Boyana Film Studios, where she is currently working. Izabela has four solo exhibitions behind her, participation in over 20 group exhibitions.
She has managed six projects that won funding from the National Culture Fund in the field of art. Her set design and costume design debut was in Gogol's Spirit. Lighting designer in the performance Wired, which won a prestigious place at the Aerowaves festival -Dublin, Ireland 2023.
Part of the teams of two Bulgarian films /Vox Populi, ANNA/. Sculptor in 5 international commercials /Jean Paul-Gaultier, Amazon, BNP, Mercedes, Cartier/ and four American Productions for Walt Disney Studios (Young Woman and the sea), Millennium Studios (Red Sonja / Hellboy 4) and B2Y (The Acts of the Apostles).
Her latest achievements in 2023 are related to the work in the PNEUMA team - a company for the biotechnological development of algae tissue, developing its activities in addition to Bulgaria - in New York and London. He is part of the Carving Coursairs team, a project that populates the Batak Dam island with wooden totems. Despite all her different "professions", her main passion and focus is cinema.
In 2023 she debutes as a camera operator in the film "Ambrozia" /starring the Bulgarian actors George Zlatarev, Stoyan Radev, Vaseline Mihalkova, directed by Borimir Ilkov/
