Director Statement

Drool was my directorial debut, conceived and completed over the course of six weeks as part of the Las Vegas Film Festival's Young Cinema Lab. I worked with Stella and Edie (ages 8 & 9) to help them craft a script in over the course of three screenwriting workshops. They were also kind enough to lend their adorable voices for the narration!

Drool is also an international collaboration - I worked with Remus & Kiki, the incredibly talented animators from the UK (whom I've never met in real life), over the Internet to bring Sam and Lulu to life!

Being re-exposed to the no-limitations attitude towards creativity that the girls both had was a truly eye-opening experience for me. Drool was a joy to create every step of the way.
