Daydream of the Sleepwalker
An unrecognized painter encounters his own ego in a form of an uninvited strange guest. As a result of this encounter, the struggling artist is compelled to reexamine his views on art production.
This experimental short is created using stop-motion technique, featuring real-life characters and interviews.

Yevgeniy K'banchik is an award wining independent filmmaker, and graduate of the Moscow Film School. Yevgeniy also has a classical training in fine arts. In his early career, he worked as an icon painter and iconology instructor for the Prosopon School of Iconology, teaching and painting icon murals in churches across North and Central America. After completing his formal training in Moscow Film School, K’Banchik worked at Telesto Film Company on Mosfilm studio in Moscow, Russia, as a film director, writer and special effects artist, where he directed two feature films and a few screenplays. Yevgeniy also worked as assistant director and editor on various film projects. Since 2002, K’Banchik continued his practice as an independent filmmaker, producing experimental films and documentaries. Yevgeniy’s films have been shown in dozens of festivals around the world, and received several awards and recognitions.
