This short film is a nature dance film. In the film the dancers connect with the 4 elements of nature. Body painting and movements of the dancers let them become one with nature. Fire, water, air and earth become inspiring dancing moments in the film. The nature itself - a work of art. The film wants to give a different view on nature. An inner view - a view that connects with nature. It is a homage to nature. It invites the viewer to pause, to listen, to immerse, to empathise, to find back.... Only when we understand that we also consist of the 4 elements fire, water, air and earth, we will be able to enter into a healthy and sustainable relationship with the earth.

Dieser Kurzfilm ist ein Naturtanzfilm. Im Film verbinden sich die Täter mit den 4 Elementen der Natur. Feuer, Wasser, Luft und Erde werden zu inspirierenden mittanzenden Momenten im Film. Die Natur Selbst - ein Kunstwerk. Der Film möchte eine andere Sicht auf die Natur geben. Eine Innensicht - eine Sicht, die mit der Natur verbindet. Es ist eine Homage an die Natur. Er lädt den Zuschauer ein innezuhalten, zu lauschen, einzutauchen, nachzuempfinden, wiederzufinden... Nur wenn wir verstehen, dass wir ebenfalls aus den 4 Elementen Feuer, Wasser, Luft und Erde bestehen, werden wir in eine gesunde und nachhaltige Beziehung zur Erde eintreten können.

Director Biography - Petra Eischeid

Since 40 years I am doing theater work (as actor, dancer, director), dance education, education in the fields of Expressive Art Therapy and working as an university lecturer.

Since 2005 I am producing educational films and short-films.
My first short film (2008) was called "The Gong" and is produced in the Swiss alps. The 2. short film "blue earth" (2019) was shot at Lake Konstanz. The current film production is the Documentation “Rituals for the Earth”.

I am a Director of Tamalpa Germany (a Dance and Expressive Arts Therapy Education - www.tamalpa-germany.de) and LifeArt (advanced training in Dance and Philippine Stick fighting - www.lifeart-petra-eischeid.de).
I studied 2 years at Tamalpa Institute in California/USA with Anna Halprin, Daria Halprin and Soto G. Hoffmann. This and the studies with Shamans from different cultures shaped my thinking and art work to what it is now.
After 12 years art and living in Cologne my field of living and activity now is Bodensee/Island Reichenau.

Seit 35 Jahren mache ich Theaterarbeit (als Schauspieler, Tänzer, Regisseur), Tanzpädagogik, Ausbildungen im Bereich der "Ausdrückende Kunst" und arbeite als Hochschuldozentin.

Seit 2005 produziere ich Lehrfilme und Kurzfilme.
Mein erster Kurzfilm (2008) hieß "The Gong" und ist in den Schweizer Alpen entstanden. Der 2. Kurzfilm "blue earth" (2019) wurde am Konstanzer See gedreht.

Ich bin Institutsleitung von Tamalpa Germany (eine Expressive Arts Therapy Ausbildung - www.tamalpa-germany.de) und LifeArt (Fortbildung in Tanz- und Philippinischer Stockkampfkunst - www.lifeart-petra-eischeid.de).
Ich studierte 2 Jahre am Tamalpa Institute in Kalifornien/USA bei Anna Halprin, Daria Halprin und Soto G. Hoffmann. Dies hat mein Denken und meine künstlerische Arbeit zu dem geformt, was es jetzt ist.

Nach 12 Jahren Kunst und Leben in Köln ist mein Lebens- und Wirkungsbereich nun am Bodensee/Insel Reichenau.

Director Statement

"blue earth" means to me a "homage to nature". Once we dance nature we find back to our natural being and experience a different awareness that let us walk differently on our planet earth.
Making film for me is like painting. Forming pictures into a story.
It was very much fun to do this piece of art with the dancers of Tamalpa Germany and my colleague Frank Hediger, with whom I created the idea.

"blaue erde" ist für mich eine "Hommage an die Natur". Wenn wir die Natur tanzen, finden wir zurück zu unserem natürlichen Wesen und erleben ein anderes Bewusstsein, das uns anders auf unserem Planeten Erde wandeln lässt.
Filmemachen ist für mich wie Malen. Bilder zu einer Geschichte zu formen.
Es hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht, dieses Kunstwerk mit den Tänzern von Tamalpa Deutschland und meinem Kollegen Frank Hediger zu machen, mit dem ich die Idee dazu entwickelt habe.
