Director Statement

Zoltar's Fortune is a take on how our superstitions can effect our thoughts and worries even if only temporarily. It is told without dialog (less one thought). The experimental use of intermittant silence between the cacophony of daily sounds allows the audience to fill in thoughts of introspection and possibility. The star of the film, Katt Yukihyo, is mixed race and culture being part African American, part Japanese, part American Indian, and part Spanish/Mediterranean. The film hints at the possibility of difficulty of acceptance in a less than welcoming culture with the pinball game played. Although, welcoming acceptance is possible!
