Director Biography - Jamie Jean

Jamie Jean is a filmmaker from Cordova, AL. After earning a graduate degree in education from The University of Alabama, Jamie found that jobs in his field were lacking in fulfillment and opportunities for growth. Having been a musician since childhood, a move to Nashville was a dream come true. However, everything changed when he moved from behind the drum set to behind the lens. Since 2010, he has owned and operated Train Productions, based in Nashville, TN.

Jamie’s first narrative short film, Insomniacs Anonymous has screened internationally and his first feature-length documentary, Wind and Water Balloons is making the rounds on the festival circuit. He is currently working on his second feature documentary, Rhythm in the Darkness, which follows three professional musician/ultramarathon runners as they juggle the chaos of touring and family life while training for and running 100 miles.
