Experiencing Interruptions?

Wild Owyhee

In the heart of the west lives a vast, untouched and priceless gem. The Owyhee, a wild place where those who visit leave with something more than they arrived with - whether a connection to a simpler time, youthful memories reignited, or a source of hope and strength. It has been here as long as time, raw and perfect, but its uncertain future now lies in our hands.

Director Biography - Daniel Holz, Evan Kay, James Q Martin

Dan Holz -
An internationally published outdoor photographer and award winning filmmaker, Dan Holz specializes in active lifestyle and adventure sport imagery.

Based in Southwest Colorado, Dan brings the most spectacular scenes from the most remote peaks and corners of the globe to you. His work is inspired and driven by an insatiable curiosity for the natural and cultural wonders of the world. With a firm belief in 'earning the view,' Dan's sense of adventure has and will continue to produce images and video of unique perspective and remarkable beauty.

James Q Martin -
Photographer and filmmaker James "Q” Martin was born in the Arizona desert and raised on the Alaskan tundra. His life spent immersed in nature has vigorously fueled a passion for documenting its beauty. To do just that, he founded Q Media, an inclusive production house with deep roots in Northern Arizona, the epicenter of the American Southwest.

Evan Kay -
Evan Kay was still in college when he began travelling the country climbing and filming. The Chicago native traded his windy city origins for escarpments in Colorado, crags in New Hampshire and cracks in canyons you’ve never heard of before landed as the full time videographer and social media manager for Ibex Outdoor Clothing. A devoted adventurer, Evan can be found on pre-dawn skinning sessions, weekend mountain traverses and in the occasional mountain bike enduro race. Evan’s ease in all things adventure can be felt in his film work: the carefully framed figures living life outdoors are filled with a visual respect, the fraternity of mountain life. Evan lives in North Pomfret, Vermont with his wife, Jordana and Gobi, an energetic 1-year old Blue Heeler/Boxer mix.
