Director Statement

Ghosts, paranormal, tantric rituals and other dimension entities – this is a world which most of us try to keep as a topic of gossip after drinks or when we feel especially enthusiastic after meeting an old friend. But there was a very real person, Gaurav Tiwari, who lived and breathed amongst us, and who chose to make a career out of this field. His choice was not a calling of money or fame, instead a calling of passion and intrigue. This movie, “Who Killed Gaurav?”, is a fictionalized and inspired version of the life and death of Gaurav Tiwari.
While watching the film, you will feel how a strong and logical mind can sometimes put a person in a catch-22 situation, and you might be able to relate with some incidents from your own life. There is a saying that just because one doesn’t believe in something, doesn’t make it untrue. Same can be said about the unknown world of ghosts and paranormal beings.
The most unique thing about this movie is that if you believe in ghosts, you will find a ghost story inside. But if you believe in logic and science, you will not find any ghosts inside. We went to painstaking lengths to ensure that this movie doesn’t just become a ghost story, but instead psychologically bends the viewer in a way, that leaves him satisfied, yet confused. We throw answers at you, but we riddle you in a way that you’re yearning for more clues.
I request you to watch this movie with a clear head and relaxed mind, because I can assure you that if you miss 5 minutes of the movie, from anywhere, you will find it very tough to comprehend the movie at all (and, I am not being mean/ bold in saying this). The movie moves at a break-neck pace, and has minute details embedded all over, so look deeply and you might, actually, find the answer to - ‘Who Killed Gaurav?’.
