Director Biography - Stephen Sarsfield

Stephen Sarsfield is the Video Vagabond, an Influential Storyteller. I enjoy sharing informative & colorful journeys of historic, environmental and community awareness.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Lived in and traveled throughout Europe.

Served in the US Army stationed in Frankfurt, Germany

Attended Schiller International University in Heidelberg, Germany and graduated from Towson State University in Baltimore, Maryland with a degree in Mass Communications and Television Production.

Professional career started with recording live events and an extensive role in television production in the New York/New Jersey area.

Upon relocating to sunny south Florida, mentee of an original Sesame Street director, Joost van Rees

Currently an active board member of several civic associations, former president of the Hollywood Historical Society and owner of South Florida Video Productions.

Director Statement

I have been recording footage of the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk for the last 10 years and am proud to share its tales and transition. This project was initiated by Karen Albertson, former Executive Director of the Hollywood Historical Society, and includes tales from natives, locals and snowbirds about this unique oceanfront promenade.
