UberLand

UberLand is a first-of-its-kind feature length documentary film that pulls back the curtain on the labor issues surrounding Uber and the gig economy. It’s the story of a scandal-ridden startup that upended transportation, defied regulators, decimated the taxi industry and ended up cannibalizing its own drivers. The film follows San Francisco Uber drivers Eric, Robin, Antonio and Xavier as these independent contractors navigate the gig economy where many workers have meager earnings and few labor protections. UberLand features interviews with workers and Silicon Valley thought leaders and asks us to consider the true cost of the gig economy.
