Alumni of such film festivals like Oldenburg, Another Hole in the Head, Canberra Shorts, McMinnville Shorts, CAAM, aGliff, and many others, Noe works as a part-time filmmaker. He left Burma after the military coup of 2021.
After the military coup of 2021, many artists had to run away to neighboring Thailand. There, most are stuck in Thai-Burmese border while some are waiting for political asylum in the West. This film was made under such a difficult circumstances in Thai-Burmese border area. The two professional actors featuring in this film are real life exiles, having left Burma to avoid political persecution. Most of the crew members also political exiles. So the story resonates with all of us and I dedicate this film to these brave individuals who sacrifice so much for their country, Burma, "a bloody great country".
