Amanda Crewes graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 1998, with a Bachelor of Arts (Performing Arts) and a Certificate in Musical Theatre. She has since gone on to perform with Perth Theatre Company (Baby Boomer Blues), Kompany M (Luv Struk, Fair Dinkum), Handzon Theatre (Lip Stick Dreams, Wedding Games), Barking Gecko (Alice @ Wonderland, Rodeo Kid), Melbourne’s Playbox Theatre (Dead Silence) and several professional independent theatre groups in shows such as Italian American Reconciliation, Wolfe Lullaby and Conundrum, for which she received a Guild Nomination for best supporting actress. Amanda also has a Graduate Diploma in Education and over 20 years experience in teaching and directing.

Following her own successful career and her father’s belief that anyone could take up acting, Amanda decided to begin teaching others the craft of acting. “My two brothers and I all went through the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and have had careers in acting. My father was an amazing actor and director and believed that anyone could learn to act, given the right support. He has been my inspiration.” “I am passionate about the performing arts and helping people achieve their dreams and potential within the industry. The Actors’ Hub introduces aspiring performers to industry professionals and teaches vital skills, so they can dream, dare and do.”.
