There is no place like home

Brussels Capital Film Festival 2023 recognized, "There is no place like home" is about the unbearable reality of homeless people.
Although the right to shelter is an essential human right, thousands of people are homeless. Consequently, other basic rights such food, safety, medical and mental care are jeopardized.
In large cities the homeless became part of the landscape. Fellow humans - too busy with their own problems - are careless.
Sadly, the tragedy of homeless human beings is aggravated by the indifference they endure every hour of their existence.

Director Statement

I like to say that my life has two chapters.

Chapter I – purposely ended – meant exhausting hours in Biotech research laboratories for many years.

Chapter II is here now. An exciting time: a student again and making low-budget, short films. I utilize what I already have: a smartphone (with a few filmmaking accessories), life experience and curiosity, to dive right into some distressing societal issues.
