The colors of Bushwick's streets

Murals and graffiti became a certain feature of urban landscapes everywhere. New York City is one of them.

The case of Bushwick, a neighborhood of Brooklyn, is very special. This blue-collar neighborhood underwent many changes throughout the years. Thanks to the “Bushwick Collective” Initiative it became a Mecca for street artists.

“The colors of Bushwick’s streets” (3:56), an observational documentary, selected for the Brussels Capital Film Festiva), focuses on the variety of murals and graffiti that decorate the streets, giving the neighborhood a special, fascinating vibe.

The film displays some of the paintings that were present on Bushwick’s specific streets in mid-2023.
