“The Vow” is the story of a young woman trapped in a cross-cultural contract marriage who devises the ultimate plan of escape. Structured like a traditional love story, the film depicts a woman's struggle to cope with misogyny, sexism, cultural fetishism, love, and revenge through the lens of a doomed relationship.
