Malcolm John Lim is an avid enthusiast of directing in films. He has a deep interest in being a creative director in the future. Growing up, he always had art around him which inspired him to pursue the arts in his tertiary education. He also had the opportunity to collaborate with world-renowned skincare brand, Kiehl’s to promote their newly launched ‘Future Made Better’ products back in 2022.
He also managed to secure an internship position as the Creative Graphic Designer of Shopee at 2023. This gave the experience he needed in the workforce. For his final year project (FYP), he was able to showcase his skills as he took this opportunity to pick up multiple roles for his graduation piece. From script-writing, camera work, directing to editing. Though it was near impossible of a task to do, he was resilient to rise up to the challenge ahead and executed it to the best of his abilities. Malcolm was always been so fascinated of horror flicks, thrillers, and psychological thrillers genres, and that is what drove him to pick a psychological horror genre for his short film as part of his final year project.
