The Rage 2 is the sequel to the multi award winning first person, horror film, The Rage.
Written, produced and directed by Joshua Cleave.
The Rage part 2 follows straight on from the first film.
The location is the same but the infection and bloodshed has spread tenfold.
Grab your hammers because it’s going to get messy.

The idea for, The Rage part 2 began in 2018, after the incredible success of the first film, horror fans were desperate for more, so it seemed crazy not to continue the story.

Once I started drafting the script everything just fell into place, it was going to be bigger, bloodier and more insane than anything I had ever made before.
This was going to be a massive challenge, but one I couldn’t wait to get started on.
Unlike the first film I wanted to raise a budget to make this as big as possible (and actually pay the cast and crew this time) the only way to do this was through a crowdfunding campaign.
So In September 2018 I successfully raised a staggering £2,000 through IndieGoGo.
The help and support we received was incredible and everyone wanted to be a part of The Rage part 2 journey.

Once the script was complete, casting began. I already had actors in mind for the three lead rolls, Rusty Apper, Stuart Davies and Nathan Head and as soon as they, and the crew from the Rage 1 saw the script they all jumped at the chance to join the sequel.
We filmed in some extra locations this time too, Liverpool Collage, Hugh Baird collage and the Williamson Tunnels in Liverpool as well as a few of the previous locations from the first film.

Fast forward six months and principal photography for the Rage part 2 had finally wrapped, a week before my second baby was due to be born.
We’re now deep in post production editing, visual fx and sound design and music composing, when dreaded covid hit and everything ground to a halt. Our lead actor dropped out along with our editor and visual fx artist. This set us back hugely as we had to film the rest of the film with myself and a new lead actor Rusty Apper, as well as rerecord all the dialogue for the new actors.
This was a huge amount of extra work, but as the whole country was now in lockdown we were able then to spend more time perfecting the finished piece.
Two years later and the world was finally back to normal and the Rage part 2 was complete and looking better than i ever imagined.
I'm so excited to finally finish it and get it out for everyone to see. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it.
