The Phoenix Feather

I directed this short film, The Phoenix Feather, after verifying that there were no films starring Spanish heroes and heroines in Spain. Fantastic cinema is conspicuous by its absence in Spain and does not have much support. I realized that the only way to change this situation was to spend my own money to tell a story about women saving the world. The main character of the film, Sara, has no experience in life and in this story she grows and matures as a person and faces evil. In my personal experience, as the son of a mother who lived through very difficult situations to raise six children and she inspired me to create this short film and helped me pay tribute to my mother and all those women who save the world in silence every day, days telling a fantastic film story.
