Experiencing Interruptions?

The Gray Fox

George took delivery of his beloved 1967 Porsche 912 at the Porsche factory in Stuttgart, Germany in the summer of 1967.

He and his wife then spent 3 months on a 10 country, 6,000 mile camping trip in Europe before shipping the car back to California.

When he returned to the states, he maintained his slate gray Porsche 912 in pristine condition for 54 more years. His love affair and adventures with the car continued for the rest of his life until his passing in 2021.

Director Statement

Although we had no prior experience making a short documentary film, we were passionate about sharing our father's special car story.

Who these days owns anything for 50 plus years and maintains it in pristine condition? Our dad truly loved his Gray Fox and relished the role of keeping his 912 survivor on the road for so many years. Making the decision to buy and then keep the Porsche for 54 years provided immense fulfillment to him.

He meticulously documented and saved everything related to the car, so we had access to hundreds of photos, old super 8 movies, recent home videos, magazine articles and other archival documents to ensure the best depiction of our dad's life long journey with his 912.
