Director Statement

Loneliness is a topic that has been bothering me personally for some time. Based on my own experience and after countless conversations, it seems to me that in today's fast-paced world it is a serious problem for many in Western society. Although we are connected to many people around the world through social media, many lack real and close interactions with others. We compare and observe the supposedly better lives of others. Why does everyone look happier, more successful and more beautiful? Why is everyone so incredibly busy? And why do many people feel so lonely even though there are so many people around?

TOUCHÉ is a film about these moments of loneliness and emptiness and the search for a way out to greater closeness and connection. TOUCHÉ explores the question of whether purchased affection can be the solution in a world in which everything is supposedly available at the push of a button and in a very short time?
