Teresa Moorhead first started creating video projections for music videos for her band, Zeitgeist Zero. Her love for filmmaking and photography developed, going on to make her first documentary, ‘Goth City Festival’ in 2016. Attending the Northern Film School, Teresa developed a passion for Directing. She has made several short films to date. She continues to work on numerous film projects inside and outside the Northern Film School.
"When I first read Brogan’s script, I thought her dramatic story of betrayal and revenge set against the horrific historical backdrop of world war two was fantastic. It inspired me as a filmmaker. I wanted to make Shattered in black and white as film noir movies have always influenced me, particularly the use of shadows and music to drive the narrative, heightening the tension. There is also a nod towards German expressionism in the film. Directing Shattered was challenging, turning 2020 Leeds into 1940s The Netherlands, but I had a talented crew who helped me to realise my vision for the film and bring this brilliant wartime drama to life."
