Scepter
He wields his scepter, demonstrating his power. A pattern of destruction follows: The colorful and diverse world of the people thereafter becomes gray and uniform. For the ruler determines what happens, and when he thrusts his scepter into the ground, peace, freedom and equality give way. Attempts to stop him peacefully fail. He plays only by his own rules. He continues ruthlessly, until in the end everything breaks and he also initiates his own downfall. - A film about what happens when the scepter of power is in the hands of irresponsible rulers.

I am an independent filmmaker, videographer and visual artist from Bonn, Germany.
My forms of expression as an artist include oil painting as well as experimental animated film with 2D and 3D animation.
They rule with an iron hand, monitor people even in the most private way, determine what should be written, spoken or even thought. They have a military at their disposal and demonstrate their power again and again in large parades. They lock up those who are too inconvenient or not system-compliant enough, and some even kill them so as not to jeopardize their own goals. They are misogynistic, in many cases corrupt, try to make people equal - and they wage wars. It is the powerful, the state leaders of this world, who wield the scepter relentlessly, who not only exploit their own people or let them starve, while they themselves reside in palaces and plenty. Nor do they take responsibility towards other peoples who are affected by their actions. It is these kinds of rulers who establish systems that undermine peace, freedom, equality and individuality. But those who rule in this way threaten to destroy everything, even at the risk that this means perishing themselves in the end.
With this film I want to draw attention to the fact that in an increasingly complex world there is a frighteningly simple pattern: Where power - the scepter - knows no boundaries, where it is not subject to higher rules but only to itself, abuse, violence and oppression follow.
