Director Statement

I wanted to create something that didn't involve real actors or typical music video elements, instead I really wanted to create a world that suited Feng E's song about childhood. A world that was innocent but also quite self-aware of its ephemeral state. That's when I sought help from my friend, who is also the illustrator of this project, Alicia Karatas. I knew she could draw, and that we both had wild imaginations. Thus we put together a story told through pen and paper.
