Experiencing Interruptions?

Pasquale Fresegna was born the 8th August 1993 in San Giorgio a Cremano, famous as birthplace of Massimo Troisi, from Patrizia Mauriello and Salvatore Fresegna, both inhabitants of San Giovanni a Teduccio (the south and most-proletarian quarter of Naples). He lived in San Giovanni untill the birth of his brother Gianluca when the family moved to Casalnuovo di Napoli, a little town in the north-east of Neaples.

He grew in a house near the municipal Cinema where he started to write his first stories and plan a life in the Arts world after he got the Scientific Lyceum Diploma in 2012. He graduated cum laude in Visual Arts, Music and Theatre Studies at University of Salerno (offcially, Laurea Davimus, 2015) and he got the "Cinema and Television (writing)" Diploma at "Suor Orsola" University in Naples (2017-2020) before he started a M.A. in Cinema at Naples Fine Arts Academy (2019).

After his Laurea, he won a national contest for a 10.000 EUR scholarship to study in the 2016 Databenc post-graduate Science and Cultural Heritage course and then he specialized as Screenwriter at "Turning point" course held at ASCI Cinema School (2018-2019).

In October 2016 he started to work on his first short film set, with the Act Production work "Amal - Le ali della speranza", then he made his debut as script supervisor with the dramatic short "Mai dire mai" (2017) and as assistant director with the gangster-short "Rachele D." (2018).

Then, he realized his first short film during the 2018 Kino Napoli Grande Vento experience: thank to "Rapemento" he won the Premio Speciale Giuria at EFest Festival 2019 and received two nomination at Assurdo Film Festival in January 2020. Finally, in May 2019 he made his first steps in feature films production, working as 3rd assistant director in "Il Fronte interno".

In 2022 he debuted as playwright with "Cavalleria Vesuviana", a musical produced by Officine San Carlo (Teatro di San Carlo, Napoles) based on "Cavalleria Rusticana": the premiere opened on the evening of 1st July 2022 at Vigliena Officine San Carlo
