Alec Patchin is an actor/director based in NYC. Alec grew up in North Carolina and moved to New York on an overnight bus because he felt like being a walking cliché. Alec is a passionate member of the indie film community in NYC. Recent credits include directing his second short film "The Bargain" as well as a Co-star appearance on "SNL" in a sketch with Please Don't Destroy.
For my first short film I wanted to explore the idea of fate. Pitting two ideologically opposed forces against each other, Purgatory explores what agency means in the grand scheme of our lives. Are we suffering the consequences of our actions or the consequences of where fate dropped us? Is there anything we could have done differently? Only time will tell, and we don't always have time.
