Director Statement

For my first short film I wanted to explore the idea of fate. Pitting two ideologically opposed forces against each other, Purgatory explores what agency means in the grand scheme of our lives. Are we suffering the consequences of our actions or the consequences of where fate dropped us? Is there anything we could have done differently? Only time will tell, and we don't always have time.
