November 2023: Best LGBTQ+ Short
Dylan is a Director, Producer, Writer, Editor, and Actor and has been making various forms of video and filmmaking since 2015. From short films, to marketing videos, music videos, and documentaries, Dylan's dream is to be a full time filmmaker and actor and ultimate goal - to change the world through the art of film. Dylan seeks to tell compelling narrative media that at the heart, challenges perspective and leaves a positive impact on the viewer. Dylan is the owner of DDUB Productions and it's not-for-profit arm - Warrior Pictures.
This film "Pink Walls" is a very special film for two reasons. For one, it is Warrior Pictures' first short film and secondly, it is based on a true story of friend of mine. Warrior Pictures is the not-for-profit arm of DDUB Productions, that makes "moving pictures for moving people," that is to tell impactful, emotional, and inspiring stories based around real life issues that could include anything from race, LGBTQ+, disabilities, women's rights, etc. and any political or social aspects that could be connected to those subjects. I am honored that Warrior Pictures' first story told, comes from a personal source, and that this impactful story, that should be told, now has an avenue to try and change how people may look at and feel about the LGBTQ+ community. That is, that they are human beings just like everyone else!
