The film tells of a dormant reality, but increasingly evident in the everyday life of contemporary society: that of violence against women within couple relationships. Through the story of Valentina and Giorgio and other dysfunctional relationships, the film tackles the issue under different aspects, always ready to surface in the folds of a relationship: physical violence, the inability to make the right choices, possessiveness and resignation. Because, as they say, love and violence are friends, neighbors and, often, even bed companions.

Andrea Petrini was born in Forlì in 1992. Passionate about cinema since he was a child, in 2017 he created his web series "The sad story of a happy clown", considered "of excellent level, both for writing and for acting by Petrini, which transmits well the discomfort of the protagonist to the spectator" from World Wide Webserie, Italian blog partner of numerous projects and festivals. Later he made the feature film "Happy clown", distributed on DVD by Nocturno. In 2019 he directed "Solamente tua", a dramatic film against violence against women produced by the cultural association Malocchi & Profumi and in 2020 he became President of the social promotion association Di scena in scena and, in collaboration with the Municipality of Forlì, "Otto Marzo duemilaventi", a documentary to tell what the effects of the pandemic have been on some historical commercial activities in Forlì.
