Writer Statement

What is coming is coming. We call it something to be wary of, yet we make it more powerful with each passing day. Will it be a tool? A harbinger of sinister things? No one knows. Speculation abounds while assumptions disguise themselves as deductions.

Some call it a leap forward. Others call it "disturbing" and “dangerous.” The fact is AI was designed by man to serve man. In many ways, it is an extension of its maker. A reflection of sorts. Maybe that's why it’s feared. But like man, AI can be a force for good, bad, or both. Time will tell. What is coming is coming.

This theme is explored in the script "Nina," where what is to come arrived years ago. The world just doesn’t know it yet, including the titular character, despite it being right in front of her. “Nina” is a story of self-realization, discovery, and finding the strength to move on.
