As a big fan of genre films, Félix Dobaire has always drawn on this culture to nourish his achievements.
After a remarkable debut in the amateur world with 2 prizes:
Encouragement Prize at the Draguicourt Festival in 2015, at age 16, for his first short film La pièce.
Best Screenplay Award at Court Metrange's The review 2 Festival in 2016, for his 5th short film, Au fond du jardin.
He joined ESEC Paris (Higher School of Cinematographic Studies) where he studied cinema, never ceasing to practice in parallel.
In June 2019, he was finalist at the Très Court International Film Festival with his short film A fleur de peau, produced in 48 hours, making him eligible for the CNC TALENT grant.
In December 2019, he was also a finalist of the Mobile Film Festival with Karma, the most popular French short film in the competition, with nearly 200,000 views on Youtube in one month.
Since January 2020, he has been working with Alice Lepers, head of The Black Dot movement against domestic violence. He will very soon shoot a prevention spot whose aesthetic will be, here again, influenced by the horror genre.
In July 2020, between the two confinements, he decides to make a new horror short film whose ambition and semi-professional dimension contrasts with his previous achievements. The film will be shot behind closed doors, with a very small team and budget. This is the genesis of Myosotis.
At the same time, he is also passionate about criticism and, in 2018, joined the team of columnists for Exterior Nuit, a critical debate program on cinema broadcast live on Radio Campus Paris (93.9FM), every Wednesday from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
