Director Biography - Wil Gelin

I am a first generation American, born to Haitian and Jamaican parents. I always felt an attraction to the arts and it was interesting trying to communicate that to my Immigrant parents who all they new was a pay check. My Mom a nurse and my Dad a salesman all they wanted was for me to be a Lawyer or a Doctor. It wasn't until after I graduated with a degree in Criminology I took the LSAT and was preparing to enter Kent Law School in Chicago. My Mom passed away and I woke up. I realized living is the most important thing. I was already working on a script in my spare time and I decided it would be best to work on it full time. It's what I really wanted to do. And it really was I went to Columbia College in Chicago and got a masters in Screen writing I moved to LA and worked for Half and half on the UPN Network as a writers assistant. After the show was cancelled I started doing more live comedy, sketch and standup to try and find my comedic voice. As time is evolving and things expected and unexpected occur. I know the best feeling is doing what you love and trying to do it the best that you can and getting better and deeper into it. I'm currently only working on independent projects .

Limp Dick OG is a project that has been floating around in my life for a few years. It started as a sketch that I would preform with the writer live on stage. People really responded well to it. We preformed it a few times to great reviews. As I heard the feedback from people and how they were describing the moments and how they felt. I knew we should shoot it. Instead of jut shooting the sketch I spoke with the Myrone the writer and pitched making it a short film, he wrote a great script and I did my best to give it even more life.
