Director Biography - Cassandre Émanuel

Cassandre Émanuel is an actress, author, director and director from Amos, Abitibi. Since her theatrical performance at Collège Lionel-Groulx in 2012, she has been involved as an actress in several short film projects. On screen, she plays Coralie in the "O" series, directed by Éric Tessier, Sister Marie-Rose in Léa Pool's "La Passion d'Augustine", an employee in the experimental film "Que ta joie demeure". "by Denis Côté, as well as Maya in the web-series "Trak "on Vrak.tv directed by Simon Barette. In the theater, she interprets among other things the title character in the play "Métusse", Ondinok theater and the octopus woman in "Euphoria", produced by Les Viscères. She staged "L'Épitaphe" and "D'espoit de mourir maigre" production of the "Tournure", "Le jeu du mort" by Francis Parisot, production nominated for the prize for the best French production Fringe 2015. She writes and directs "Monsieur Victor", who won the prize for the best French production at the Fringe Festival 2012, as well as "AEt les amoureux auront des cataractes". She is also the first assistant director in several projects, including the short film "Metalheart" directed by Patrick Bilodeau and Steven Ouellette produced by Sport and the video "The Way You Want Me" by Joëlle Arseneau Production & Le Pied marin production. She also directed the short film "Brandy" written by Catherine-Audrey-Lachapelle, as well as "En attendant l'hivernation" which she also signs the script. With the collective Salut Poivre, she co-directed the short film "Dents" and "Couvre-feu" as part of the Festival des DocuMenteurs de l'Abitibi-Témiscamingue.
