Director Biography - Cesare Mangiocavallo

Born in 2000 he started playing violin and piano at 6.

At the age of 7 he started studying jazz drums with Andrea Nunzi, Greg Hutchinson, Roberto Gatto, Colin Stranahan, Antonio Sanchez and Mark Guiliana.

In 2014 he won a scholarship for The Collective School of Music in New York.

He has played with musicians such as Enrico Pieranunzi, Domenico Sanna, Daniele Tittarelli, Roberto Tarenzi, Enrico Zanisi, Luca Fattorini, Matteo Bortone, Pietro Lussu and Francesco Lento, occasionally meeting also George Garzone and Ameen Saleem.

In 2017 he participated in Soundcheck, the broadcast of Radio24 conducted by Gegè Telesforo. Playing electronic keyboards, synthesizers, percussion, vibraphone and other instruments, he made some music videos and audio recordings of arrangements of compositions by Gentle Giant.

He has composed various songs for trio or jazz quartet.

In 2019 he was called by Enrico Pieranunzi to play with him in trio and quartet.

He has performed in contexts such as Umbria Jazz, Fano Jazz Network and Pozzuoli Jazz Festival, as well as in various jazz clubs in Rome.

He studied ethnic percussion with Fabio Tricomi and Massimo Carrano. He played baroque timpani and other historical percussions with the orchestra of ancient instruments of the Conservatory of Rome at the Farnese palace (Embassy of France) and at the Eliseo Theater, in the opera Almira by GF Händel at the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik, at the Festival of Ancient Music of Urbino and in other chamber music concerts in Italy, Germany and Austria.

In 2017 he participated as a drummer and composer in the making of his first album "The dark side of the trio" with Luigi Mangiocavallo and Pietro Ciancaglini.

In 2019 he graduated from the Art School of the Cine-TV Institute Roberto Rossellini, simultaneously attending the S. Cecilia Conservatory in Rome.

From the age of 12 she started making some homemade short films, including:
