Gal Primack Najari, 36, an artist and creator from Tel Aviv, debuts his first film on the big screen. Starting in the contemporary art department at a fine arts high school, Gal evolved from oil paintings, film photography, and iron sculpture to digital creations.
With a bachelor's degree in visual communication from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design and a master's in cinema from Tel Aviv University, Gal blends sensitivity and beauty in his writing, cinematography, and designs. His passion for visual art led him to specialize in cinematography, directing, editing, grading, and complex animation.
For nearly two decades, Gal has directed and created in the advertising industry, running a production and post-production studio. Recently, he has focused on cinema, learning acting, writing, production, and directing. His independent film "Kordovero 22" has screened at international festivals, won an awards for Cinematography & Direction, and serves as a pilot for a series he is currently writing.
Reality has shifted to a digital, emotionally distant realm, where genuine connections are scarce. Amid endless scrolling and robotic interactions, people struggle to embrace true emotions and form meaningful relationships. "Kordovero 22" portrays the poignant reality of modern homosexuality in Tel Aviv, highlighting the challenges of connection and the longing for authentic human bonds. The film captures a twenty-minute encounter between two men, revealing the rapid cycle of emotions from initial connection to eventual emptiness. Written from the heart, it offers a glimpse into the daily lives of Tel Aviv's gay community.
