Sammie Johnson aka "The Street Director" Bio

This Award Winning Film Maker was Born and Raised in Dallas, Texas. Since a youth Sammie always knew he loved both Arts and Education. An Avid student in all of his years of students Mr. Johnson knew he would be a leader. While Being an A Student, Playing Sports, Being Active in a Variety of Clubs in High School, All while being Class President 3 years in Row at Lancaster High School. Sammie was able to receive a record deal at the age of 16 from Dallas Based, Diamond Recordz. He enjoyed a successful recording career with the label throughout High School before starting his own Record Label "EMPIRE THANG RECORDS" while still a Senior at Lancaster High School. Upon Graduating, Sammie Briefly attended College before leaving to purse Music full time. After dropping many successful projects, including his hit album in 2002 "The Burn, The Backdraft" using his stage name S.E.J. the project would go on to sell over 40,000 units regionally. What's more unique about Mr. Johnson is while he was doing his rap career, he still taught in area school districts. After releasing several more music projects, Sammie then went back to College full time and obtained his Associates from Dallas County Community College, Bachelors from University of North Texas, and is currently working on his Masters Degree in Sociology.

Sammie then used his love of art and picked up a camera and began doing photography and film rap events. He has worked with many Music Industry stars including Little Wayne, Drake, Miguel, and Lil Flip to name a few. He eventually, earned the Moniker "The Street Director" for always being out in area events with his cameras ready to work. Mr. Johnson then found his way onto his first Movie Set "Carter High" and was given the opportunity to do camera work on the project. That began his Career in films and shortly after he produced, wrote, filmed, directed, and edited his first full length film "Quintessential The Movie". Using his experiences in the music industry, business world, and educational career. Sammie Johnson and his team is ready to bring "Quintessential The Movie" to the World.
