Director Biography - Nanako Nakazawa

I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, and an only child living with a single mother since when I was six.
When I was a college student, I started watching some Western films, but I've still watched Japanese films mainly. In the West, I respect Xavier Dolan, Yorgos Lanthimos, Jean-Luc Godard so far. Especially I am a fan Xavier Dolan's films and watched almost all of them. I'd like to create such a great film one day like him that is beautiful and has a meaningful story in our lives.

Director Statement

As one of hobby of mine, I'm into an idols, because their power always motivates me. So, I'd like to make a film that could makes someone motivated. This film is the first one like it. I directed, wrote for the script, and edited of the film. It was hard, but I enjoyed the all.
The protagonists, young men and women, are friends at my art college. Also, their dream is become a professional actors.
Most of the music in the film was professionally made at my request.
