HOMAGE TO ABBAS
In his documentary, "HOMEWORK" (1989), Iranian filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami asks a group of elementary school boys what happened if and when they didn't do their homework. In "HOMAGE TO ABBAS", the same question is posed to a group of multicultural kids living in Massachusetts - but additional questions the filmmaker asks lead to a conversation about race, profiling, immigration, and getting in and out of trouble....
"HOMAGE TO ABBAS" is included in our feature documentary "OPEN SPACE; Life At Cambridge's Danehy Park", which is also available for submission for programmers interested in the topic.
