Hi my name is Alan Natale and I've been making short films since junior high – starting with my space-vampire scripts, an old Super8 sound camera, fundamental storyboards, and scissor-and-scotch-tape splice editing. Fast forward through college, an evolution of cameras, video, Adobe, editing software, jobs in media and design, theatre (and some film) acting, plus life experience and a bunch of short films and here I am. I'm currently furthering my film directing/writing education via UCLA and have stories to offer that I hope you like!
This short film was based on an improv I had done with another improv comedian. One idea was about people who think they are much smarter than they are, which is called the Dunning-Kruger effect. The result was this script and short film which was fun to make (takes lost due to laughing) and so far has done well as a comedy short in festivals. Hope you like it.
