Igor was born in a town called Saint Nazaire on the French Atlantic coast. Passionate about cinéma since he was 5, when he first saw Jurassic Park, he moved to Paris at the age of 18 and attended the international cinema school, EICAR. In 2012 he was cast in his first professional play and went on to graduate from the Université Paris 8 in 2013.
Switching Paris for Chicago, he started taking acting classes at Second City and was quickly cast in a production called Love can Fall in a Pile of Shit, directed by the director of the acting department at Second City. At the same time he helped create a web series called Love Rules that is currently available on YouTube.
When I was approached by the writer and producer of the film, Phil McCarron, I felt connected to the script right away. I’m sure that almost everyone has experienced a traumatic breakdown in a relationship, which is why many viewers will be able to recognize a piece of themselves in this film. The writer and I had the same vision from the beginning, about how we wanted to bring this story to life, and we had to work very fast knowing that I was leaving Chicago to return to Europe.
It was a wonderful experience to work with such an amazing and talented crew who really dug deep to pull off some beautiful shots. And it was such a pleasure to work with a truly magnificent actress who gave me all of her trust from start to finish.
We are very proud of this film and I hope you will enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it.
Merci
Igor Lewicki
