Experiencing Interruptions?

ES IST HALT EIN RISKANTER SEILTANZ

Within ES IST HALT EIN RISKANTER SEILTANZ, the boundaries between the individual and the environment, language and moving images blur. The fictional character ME serves as the central link between reality and abstract points of escape. ME is a prototype of the seeker, struggling to find their place in a world of emptiness and sensory overload. Playfulness and naivety become guiding principles, green spaces disguise themselves as nature, and a hint of loneliness always resonates in the pink plush outfit. ES IST HALT EIN RISKANTER SEILTANZ is an invitation to dialogue, self-reflection, and shared exploration of human experience between closeness and distance, belonging and alienation in an increasingly fragmented and disillusioning environment.

Director Statement

Throughout our artistic journey, we have constantly sought to challenge traditional performance spaces and push the boundaries of creativity. As a duo, collaboration lies at the core of our artistic practice. Working as a team allows us to combine our individual strengths, perspectives, and artistic disciplines, resulting in a synergy that brings our creative process forward. We firmly believe that interdisciplinary work is essential for the development of the cultural and artistic landscape. Through our poetic video artwork, we aim to deconstruct the narrative of simplified narratives such as "Back to Nature - Away from the Phone," highlighting the complexities of human connection, the influence of technology, and the ambivalence surrounding our relationship with both nature and digital spaces.
