PMD BIOGRAPHY
EARLY LIFE
Born March 15th, 1994 in the beautiful city of Ekeremor, Bayelsa State is the industrious and Creative Director, Patrick Marcus Daudoukumor professionally known as PMDAxedit (also PMDthevision). Pmd had a very humble background that cannot be summarized in this write up, he believes he would share it one day to the world to inspire others.
CAREER LIFE
Pmd started acting as a career in 2014, where he was arrested for acting in a film project whose cast were not registered on under the caricature film regulatory body in Bayelsa, Actors Guild of Nigeria. After spending 4 days in police custody, abused of his fundamental human rights of the freedom of association, Pmd's passion for filmmaking was just rekindled and he was set to be a trail blazer.
In 2015 August, Pmd met an Australian trained Filmmaker and the present Gubernatorial candidate of the Liberation Movement, in the Bayelsa State 2019 General election, Vijah Eldred Opuama.
Pmd's relationship with Vijah, can be described as a step in the right direction. For the subsequent two years after 2015, Vijah had impacted so much on Pmd, coupled with his zeal for learning. In 2017, Pmd dared to step in to the waters of uncertainty by making his debut short film, "Brown Collar" featuring, Vijah Opuama, Emmanuel Okutuate, a music producer, Chiff Timz, a Crazy Dancer, Galaxy Queen and a host of other stars, shot in the Oil Capital City of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
Despite his zeal, he recognizes the need for financial strength to promote his film, so he delved into film and video editing in 2018. In December, 2018, Pmd went ahead to shoot music videos for Star Nations, Young M and other artistes. In 2019, when his name began to ring a bell in households, he challenged himself the more to master the art of Cinematography, Directing on a professional scale (both film and music video). Pmd's passion is relentless, although having many excuses to fail but chooses to discover his inner strength.
2019, was a great a year for the young talent, a year he wouldn't forget in a hurry. PMD shot the video series for the popular Niger Delta rapper god, Chiff Timz in the "Retired Rapper Series", he went ahead to do a shoot for RnB musician and The Rapjesus, Ohis and El Vidal respectively. Pmd's Directing abilities cuts across all genre's of music, very notable was the series he shot for the afro pop fireman, Solo Banks, who had become a sensation in the Lagos Entertainment Scene.
In 2020, Pmd shot videos for Chiff Timz three albums, The Den Lions, Lock Down Diaries and Sex in Isolation during the pandemic. Most of the album's featured the likes of Headies nominated act, Paypercoleorne, Yawng Boss, D Punch, Erenna Blaq and a host of the best rappers in Yentown (Yenagoa). In the last quarter of 2020, Pmd's career sky rocketted when he shot the first of it's kind Oweigiri colourful video for Tare Oge by B2S. Tare Oge is widely accepted by Ijaws in Nigeria and the Diaspora. Pmd is a force to reckon with, very talented, yet very humble and easy going.
Pmd's mastery and exceptional blend of creativity in film and music video production is fast becoming a threat to his colleagues as it's evident in the bad blood he's been receiving from counterparts. His wide spread popularity is commanding great recognition and acceptance for his brand. Which musician or actor doesn't want to be directed by the rave of the moment?
Following the massive international nominations from notable film festivals around the world for his debut Niger Delta Stories Series, Milestone of a Thousand Potraits, Nigerian's sweetheart Director & movie sensation, Patrick Marcus Daudoukumor popularly known as PMD the vision, wows our screens again with a brand new film, Echoes From The Creek.
Echoes From The Creek (#EFTCthemovie) is another unique melodrama, very specific and relative to the depth of self denial and greed perpetrated in the crude oil polluted mangrove areas of Niger Delta, a region covering about 9 states in Southern, Nigeria- the nations treasure generating about 97% of the country's GDP, yet neglected and continuously impoverished by the country's federal executive council and oil regulating agencies.
In his dedication and directorial vigour to tell exceptional and unconventional stories that meet both artistic, commercial and societal values, PMD the vision, partnered with both home based and international companies and individuals, to create a general commercial and economic appeal for movie lovers and investors. This project in his words, "this is not just a collaboration for the papers but a collaboration to create a consistent market for the documentation and promotion of Ijaw (Niger Delta) stories" his cogent reasons are that, "the Ijaw Nation was slacking in adequate and accurate documentation of her stories, history and heroes, sighting the case, of the Late. Adaka Boro, the First Leader of the Ijaw Nation who barely have enough of his history documented for the up and coming generations despite his unmatched achievements in the actualization of the Ijaw Nation.
Hey, PMD is that docu guy for the Ijaw race, his on a journey to rewrite the Niger Deltan history, a reckoning approach to erase the evil memories of militancy created by their oppressors, rather pointing out the true spirit of heroism embedded in the Leaders and people of the Ijaw race, who will continue to stand for freedom, equity and justice.
The film is set to premiere in August, 2021, with features from top Nollywood actors, a guest appearance from Headies Nominated rapper, Payper Coleone, Emmanuel Okutuate, with international collaboration from United States of America and South Africa.
It's time I tell the world my story, the true story of my people
The originality of the Niger Delta man in West Africa,
We have been CRYING for too long, and it time, the world knows
Our story that we are not who they think we are.
