Dirt

Dumped unexpectedly by his girlfriend and saddened by the sudden loss of his mother, Eli calls upon enigmatic uncle Cassius, eccentric art dealer and occasional shaman healer, as a last resort to purge his pain. The obnoxious mystic performs a series of self-concocted forest rituals, craftily devised to snatch Eli away from the jaws of abandonment and misery. Will Eli's despair spiral into something darker? Or will he find solace while buried up to his neck in DIRT?

Director Biography - Gary Nurse

Gary Nurse was born and bred in the heart of West London, where he attended Isleworth and Syon grammar school.

At a young and tender age, his passion for music and dance would inspire him to leave academics and begin a career as a dancer; this is where he cut his teeth in the world of entertainment. A natural progression eventually moved him on from the stage to the studio, where choreography would elevate his reputation within the world of dance and fashion.

After working as a creative director for the prestigious denim brand, G-Star, Nike, Sony and Philips amongst others would employ his skills and services. This is where his creative exploits would allow further opportunities and new challenges, 'FILM MAKING’.

As a writer, director and choreographer, Gary has worked for the likes of ‘George Michael’, ‘Dego’ (4Hero), ‘Adamski’, ‘Jaz Ellington’ and ‘Camille Purcell’, to name a few. Spending most of his time in London and commuting to and from Amsterdam, he has worked as director/writer and choreographer for commercial brands such as ‘Nike’, ‘Texels’, ‘Bjorn Borg’, ‘Pump Audio’ and ‘Guinness’. With his skills originally as a choreographer, Gary was fortunate to have worked on titles such as ‘Street Dance 2’ and ‘Black Mirror’ and has now moved firmly into the world of shorts and features.
