Combating Human Trafficking: Local Drivers

This documentary was created to teach industry members on the realities of sex trafficking and how they can combat it. "Truckers Against Trafficking" videos have resulted in reports of possible trafficking cases from all kinds of drivers to the national hotline of possible trafficking cases, leading to victim recoveries and the arrest of criminals.

This local driver program was produced during the 2021 Pandemic. Filmed in several cities in the span of 4 months.

Director Biography - Gio Toninelo

I'm a cinematographer, filmmaker and director based in Denver Colorado. Work and travel are my biggest passions while music gives rhythm to it all. My credits include films, documentaries, commercials and music videos. I also shoot branded and corporate content for big companies and startups alike. I crave inspiring, creative and emotionally impactful projects.

I was born in Brazil and exposed to many different cultures over the years. My film career started in 2003 at Incite Films working in video assist. In 2007, I undertook my first production role for Rocket House Pictures. Recently I won Best Cinematography at the 2021 Rome Short Film Festival and Best Music Video at 2021 Stockholm City Film Festival. I'm a proud member of the Brazilian Association of Cinematographers and the Colorado Film and Video Association.
