Indian culture is complex in nature and with diversity in religion and the customs we live with unity. The two most important tenets of Indian culture are Human Values and Holism. Human values refer to moral, spiritual and ethical values while Holism means oneness or unity; both of which are present and can be witnessed in the heart of Delhi, Chandni Chowk. This film tries to locate the old-world charm of Chandni chowk amidst the recent beautification done. It briefly captures the impact the newly done chowk has on the people who visit there and people who are dependent for their earnings on the place.

Director Biography - MIHIKA SENGUPTA

Mihika Sengupta is currently pursuing PhD in film studies from Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies. She has done her MA in Mass Communication from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and BA (hons) Journalism from Delhi University. She is an amateur yet passionate filmmaker. Her first Documentary ‘Panchkanya – women of strength’ has been screened at various film festivals and has won awards. Her areas of interests for film making are Women empowerment, History, Art and Culture.
