But, why?

In this world, each of us live in a family, society, community or a country. The generation of a myth or any type of cultural superstition or any kind of un-written rule of our society, that is presented in such a wrong way within the society, that itself later becomes a stereotype and creates a never ending loop of injustice among the people; even when there is question about how that un-written rule first appeared and for what reason. And all of this is shown in a 'metaphorical way' in this shortfilm.

Director Biography - Anubrata Nandi

Anubrata Nandi was born on August 11, 2000 in Tangail, Bangladesh. He started school in Sylhet, because his father was a teacher there. Then he moved to Dhaka at the age of Twelve. He got interested in making films and acting since high school. “Avoy (2020)” was his directorial debut. He has made “Gontobbo (2020)” and “Shotta/The Entity (2021)” since then. As a student of Jahangirnagar University, he made his first shortfilm without dialogue named “But, why?”. All of his works so far is a students’ project.
He is currently a student of honours first year in Jahangirnagar University in Bangladesh.
