BLINK

As climate change ravages the planet,
a father journeys with his son through a lifetime of memories,
in an effort to preserve the last reminders of a place that no longer exists.

Shot on four continents over a four year period,
using over one hundred thousand still images stitched together as time-lapses,
BLINK is an ambitious creative undertaking;
An emotional, personal tale that discusses
the incredible biodiversity of the planet we live on,
and the permanent damage our species has dealt to it.

Surely the topic of climate change deserves such conscious examination.

With his sights set on creating a visceral representation of the climate crisis from the perspective of one's own flashbacks, James wanted to capture the essence of a memory, the way we actually remember them - in pieces...fragments that lingered in our brains long enough to make a lasting impression. Sequences of images, each individually a moment forever lost to time, give a window to awe-inspiring scenes - night skies on fire, an endless ocean of celestial depth, the wisps of hair of your first love.

It is in these memories we find our most profound realizations about the way we exist on this planet.

But first, we must remember.
