A strange family

Being A strange family, my first "real" project in the audiovisual field (with real I mean a project that required ample preparation time and organization), I tried first of all to give life to a simple, basic narrative, which can communicate easily with the public.
The short opens with a black and white film scene, where a classic chase sequence is seen. In the highlight of the sequence the animation turns off, revealing a TV inside a house, in another world, with another type of animation, the stop-motion one.
From here, a freakish little boy tries to re-ignite the TV that he really doesn't want to know about resuming life. Frustrated and a little scared by the film, he goes to the bathroom. As usual, he prepares to go to sleep but suddenly a frightening figure appears behind him.
What is it? A monster? or a simple hallucination?
There is no way of knowing this, at least until you go to press play to the A strange family video!

Director Biography - Pierpaolo Massacci


Always passionate about the art of drawing, traditional and digital, and of everything that surrounds and continues to build such a world, I have had various experiences in the artistic field, and then moved on to the audiovisual sector: I first graduated from the Art School, then I obtained a certificate in a comic strip course, after which I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in the Graphic Design course, to end up enrolling in the specialization course in Animation Cinema, during which I realized my first animated short film: A strange family.
