Director Statement

Our producer Matthew Romanski's mother is a chiropractor in the Sarasota, FL area, so her stories from the field were an inspiration for us throughout the development process. An elderly couple with a sexual secret provided some humorous fodder for a short film, and we wanted to make it a distinctly Floridian film, complete with palm trees and a painting of a sea turtle. That instinct dovetailed with the visual style of the film: cool, pastel colors and a bright look.
