Experiencing Interruptions?

Abol Tabol

Visualizing the nonsensical universe of infinite freedom in Sukumar Ray's poem titled Abol Tabol (GLIBBERISH-JIBBERISH).
The film shows freedom, celebration and nonsense. The book opens to reveal the world of fantasy. A collection of random objects relay that this world has no bounds. The drum is a symbol for music that brings joy. The dancing and playing the drum to the beat is mark of celebration, happiness. The strings represent rules that crumble in this world. The characters have been inspired by the various tribal cultures around the world. The blooming flower refers to the freedom of sexuality- a taboo to talk about in the society. The lips represent the freedom of speech; the opinion of the person is symbolized by the boat. The boat travels through multitudes and keeps sailing.. The boat and the paper planes are a metaphor for travelling through no boundaries. Finally the unreal creature- the Kimbhut- comes alive. The celebration of this world is completed by a joyous performance with drums and dance.
